New firmware for the bq Avant 3

• More intuitive interface

  Experience smoother navigation thanks to the new, improved user interface. Icons are more visual and more clearly related to function, while all your files can now be found in a single place: the library.

• Faster operating system

  The bq Avant 3's new operating system is faster than its predecessor and, thanks to the improved screen refresh, minimises ghosting.

• Access to the online Fnac store *

  Your bq Avant 3’s new operating system comes with pre-installed access to the entire catalogue of books at the Fnac store: over 20,000 different titles. Purchasing books is quicker and simpler than ever before, as all you need is your PIN number. The books you download are saved directly in your e-reader’s library.

• Improved library

  All your text and image files in one place: the bq Avant 3’s new library. The improved design means books are much easier to recognise, thanks to the cover viewer and search function, while if you want to continue reading your most recently accessed books you can open them directly from the Start menu without having to go through the library.

• Digital editions of the best dictionaries

  The bq Avant 3’s new operating system includes digital editions of the most prestigious dictionaries: the Wordnet English reference dictionary, the Semantix Spanish-English/English-Spanish dictionary and the SM Group’s CLAVE Spanish reference dictionary. They can be accessed directly from the book, meaning you don’t have to navigate away from what you’re reading.

• More comfortable reading with the syllabification feature

  Even when you zoom in on the text, the words maintain their correct spelling thanks to the syllabification feature, which keeps syllables together when words are divided at the end of a line.

• Customisable screensaver

  Save your favourite images in .jpg or .png format in the library and use them as a screensaver. Your device will select them at random and if necessary will automatically adapt them to fill the whole of the screen.

• Different letter sizes and typefaces

  With the wide variety of fonts and letter sizes to choose from you can configure the typography of your texts and adapt it to your needs. Choose from the six different fonts and five letter sizes to make your reading more comfortable.

• More control over your e-books

  The most useful e-book tools are now even more intuitive. Underline, create notes or look up a word in the dictionary just by clicking on it.
